You are invited to join Senator Addie Eckardt’s 2017 Tour de Mid Shore.

Four days, four rides, four counties, and probably four hours or more each day through the beautiful four counties of District 37. Ride one day, all four, or any combination. We will stop at places of interest throughout each county, focusing on the issues, economy, and history of the Shore while enjoying the beautiful and scenic landscape. Sites include, but are not limited to, the Whitehaven Hotel, Quantico, Barren Creek Church, Sharptown, the Federalsburg Historical Society, Choptank, the Caroline County 4H Park, the Oxford Ferry, St. Michaels, Phillips Wharf Environmental Center, and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Trail. Many days will conclude with a lunch and a swim; kayaking may also be available.

The selected stops are now being finalized, as well as opportunities to meet and greet with local business owners and constituents. I am currently reaching out to any and all who would be interested in joining me for the ride, one day or all four. Please let me know at least a week in advance so that I will know how many will be in attendance for lunch as well as whether lodging arrangements are necessary. Do not hesitate to contact me for more information concerning any aspect of the ride.
In lieu of a registration fee, I am requesting that a contribution be made to a non-profit of your choice, possibly one in District 37. Thanks so much and I hope you will join me this last week in August for what will be a most memorable day.

The “Green Garden County” is named for Lady Caroline Eden, the wife of Maryland’s last colonial governor.

Day 2 - The CAROLINE ride is now an old favorite with a new twist. We start at TJ Farms, just east of the new Dover Bridge. From there we head south to Choptank followed by a quick stop at the Linchester Mill. Then it is in towards Federalsburg to stop at the Federalsburg Historical Society. Then, we head northeast along Laurel Grove, swing over through American Corner, followed by a quick jaunt north around Williston Lake and by the Caroline County 4H & Youth park. From there, we head south and west over to Gainey's Wharf for a final stop. Then we press south for a little under 10 miles and return to TJ Farms. Just about 48 miles.
