We will stop at places of interest throughout each county, focusing on the issues, economy, and history of the Shore while enjoying the beautiful and scenic landscape. Sites include, but are not limited to, the Whitehaven Hotel, Quantico, Barren Creek Church, Sharptown, the Federalsburg Historical Society, Choptank, the Caroline County 4H Park, the Oxford Ferry, St. Michaels, Phillips Wharf Environmental Center, and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Trail. Many days will conclude with a lunch and a swim; kayaking may also be available.

The selected stops are now being finalized, as well as opportunities to meet and greet with local business owners and constituents. I am currently reaching out to any and all who would be interested in joining me for the ride, one day or all four. Please let me know at least a week in advance so that I will know how many will be in attendance for lunch as well as whether lodging arrangements are necessary. Do not hesitate to contact me for more information concerning any aspect of the ride.
In lieu of a registration fee, I am requesting that a contribution be made to a non-profit of your choice, possibly one in District 37. Thanks so much and I hope you will join me this last week in August for what will be a most memorable day.
Day 3 - Talbot County, founded around 1661, is named for Lady Grace Talbot, sister of Lord Baltimore and the first proprietary governor of Maryland. With more than 600 miles of shoreline, Talbot County is home to the charming towns of Easton, Oxford, Queen Anne, St. Michaels and Trappe. A terrific place to live, work and play.
After last year’s “EAST OF ROUTE 50 RIDE,” we are back to our favorite Talbot County ride. The TALBOT ride begins in the parking lot at Chick-fil-A, just west of Easton, and then we proceed through beautiful St. Michaels to Tilghman Island with a turnaround at the Tilghman Elementary School and a stop at the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center. From there we'll head north and then east, back to St. Michaels for a rest stop at the Talbot Country Free Library - St. Michaels Branch, then on to the Bellevue-Oxford ferry. After crossing the ferry, we're on to the final leg to the Easton Club at a private residence for lunch and a swim. Just over 54 miles.
