BAH: Arts & Entertainment at DCA
5:30-7 p.m.: Dorchester Center for the Arts, 321 High Street, Cambridge, MD 21613
The Cambridge A&E District Steering Committee will hold an informational stakeholder meeting on May 8, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the George B. Todd Performance Hall of the Dorchester Center for the Arts (321 High Street). We’ll enjoy a Dorchester Chamber of Commerce Business After-Hours event with a few words from local speakers about the history and benefits of the Cambridge Arts & Entertainment District, and then welcome special guest Steven Skerritt-Davis, the Program Director of Arts & Entertainment Districts from the Maryland State Arts Council, who will give a brief presentation and answer questions about the program as well as other initiatives of the Maryland State Arts Council.
This is not only a good opportunity to network and engage in the A&E community, and is also a good chance to engage new residents and educate them on the benefits of the A&E District, like:
- Community interest in the Arts and unique placemaking opportunities.
- Property Tax Credits
- Artist Income Tax Deductions
- Arts grant opportunities
