Open House and Exhibit Presentation on Eastern Shore

5-7:30pm: Dorchester Center for the Arts, 321 High Street, Cambridge, MD, 410-228-7782, www.dorchesterarts.org; A free presentation starting at 6:30pm will be given during Downtown Cambridge’s Second Saturday festivities from 5-7:30pm on the evening, July 14, highlighting research from the exhibit.  The talk will focus on two of the women, Victorine Du Pont Homsey, FAIA (1900-1998) and Chloethiel Woodard Smith, FAIA (1910–1992), both of whom have architectural projects on the Eastern Shore.  Of note, Victorine du Pont Homsey, FAIA, has two projects in Dorchester County: one, the Cambridge Yacht Club, as well as a residence for Francis duPont at Horn Point in 1937. In addition to the exhibits and light refreshments, DCA artisans’ shop Studioworks will also be open.

The public can view the exhibits between July 1-August 24, 2018 during the DCA's working hours of Tues-Thurs 12-8pm and Fri-Sat 10am-4pm, or during Second Saturday’s special additional hours of 4:00-7:30pm on July 14 and August 11, 2018.  For more information, details, and updates please visit DCA online at www.dorchesterarts.org.  The exhibit is being sponsored by numerous regional firms representing design and construction professionals.  Programs at DCA are supported by the Maryland State Arts Council.
