General Jim Adkins is a native of Dorchester County with a love of history.  His European ancestors came to the southern part of Dorchester County in the 1600’s.  Before that, his Native American ancestors lived along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.

Jim will  speak about those who served our Country from Dorchester County over the centuries with a focus on World War l as we mark the 100th anniversary of the US entering that war.

The South Dorchester Folk Museum (SDFM), in cooperation with the Dorchester County Historical Society, presents this FREE program in its lecture series about local history.
