Businesses in Crocheron and Bishop's Head Years Ago
Lynne Mills grew up in Bishops Head, attended Crapo Elementary School and graduated from South Dorchester High School. She spent 41 years in banking and retired as an Assistant Vice President. Lynne has great interest in family and local history. She is currently President of the Dorchester County Historical Society, and member of the South Dorchester Folk Museum and the Great Choptank Parish Chapter of Daughters of the Revolution.
Lynne will speak about some of the businesses and their owners that were once in South Dorchester. Included in her talk will be the Crocheron Brothers store, the Marcie Bloodsworth Store between Bishop's Head and Crocheron; and Fred Ruark's Store in Bishop's Head.
Be sure to attend this program and learn about some of the businesses in times past in Southern Dorchester County.
