Talk: Author Barbara Lockhart

11 a.m.: The Heritage Museums, 1003 Greenway Drive in Cambridge; The Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dorchester, is pleased to announce that local author, Barbara Lockhart will speak on Saturday, April 7 at 11am. This event is free and open to the public. Ms. Lockhart, an award-winning writer, has used the Eastern Shore region as the setting for her works that include novels, short stories, and children’s books. Much local research and a poetic attention to detail has gone into these pieces, allowing her subjects to come to life quite naturally. Her talk will cover the methods used to research for writing, as well as how the ideas first come to her and take shape. Using fact to create fiction helps make the stories believable and relatable. Research methods take on many forms which will be discussed. For more information, please call 410-228-7953 or email dchs@verizon.net.
