The Government Affairs committee is appointed by the Chamber President to advise the Board of Directors on the status of issues important to the mission of the Chamber – those involving business issues and quality of life issues for the community.
The Committee will monitor business related government activities at the local level and in conjunction with the Maryland Chamber of Commerce monitor business related issues at the state and national level.
The Committee works to maintain a continuing dialogue with public officials. They will develop plans to influence policies and regulations that aid in the creation of opportunities for job creation, business growth and new market links for members.
The Committee meets as needed.
