Jermaine T. Anderson
Partner, Liv Again/ArtBar


Jermaine T. Anderson is currently a partner at Liv Again Boutique & Gallery and the ArtBar located at 317 High Street.  He was born and raised in Cambridge Maryland. He is a graduate of Cambridge South Dorchester High School, a US Army Veteran, and a Graduate of Pennsylvania Culinary School.  He has over 10 years working as a Cambridge Community Ambassador. In 2010 he was selected among the list of "People to Watch” in 2010 What’s Up Eastern Shore Magazine. He served on the Mayor’s Steering Committee for the City's Comprehensive Plan in 2007 and 2008.  He also served as Co-Chairman of ATrain Alliance, aiding Young Minority and Women start-up entrepreneurs to take part in Civic Engagement from 2005 to 2008 and Chairman of the Board for Cambridge Lives Maple Street program in the Pine Street Community from 2009 to 2012. He served on the Harriet Tubman Conference Planning Board in 2013 and 2014.

Gerry Boyle, Chamber Foundation President
Realtor, Benson and Mangold/Race Director, IRONMAN MD


Gerry Boyle has been a resident of Dorchester County since 1987 after he retired from a 20 year career with the British Army. For many years, along with other family members, Gerry was owner-operator of several local restaurants including the Blue Crab and McGuigan's Pub & Restaurant. Since 2004, Gerry has been a local Realtor and is currently employed with Benson and Mangold in Cambridge. Since 1996, Gerry has been actively involved in the organization and planning of several local triathlons, including Eagleman. In 2014 Gerry accepted full time employment with World Triathlon Corporation as Race Director for IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman and IRONMAN Maryland.


Dave Cannon
General Manager, Dorchester Banner/Cambridge Extra


David L. Cannon was recently named the General Manager for the Dorchester Banner a local newspaper serving Dorchester County, located in Cambridge. Dave joined the Banner in July 2011 as the advertising and marketing manager with over thirty five years of experience in sales, client relation building, marketing, finance and customer service.

An avid sports fan enjoying football and baseball Dave was inducted into the Maryland Softball Hall of Fame in 2012, he also enjoys camping and spending time with family. While finding time to volunteer in church and around the community, Dave served on the Housing Review Board for the city of Cambridge for 16 years, the Mayors Committee to relocate the Sailwind’s Community Center and was elected to the Cambridge City Council in July 2016.

Other community involvements include serving as current President for the Board of Directors of the Dorchester Care and Share Fund, an active board member of the Cambridge Rotary and the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce. Dave lives in Cambridge with his wife, Cindy, both of whom are lifelong residents of Dorchester County.

Scott Dorsey
Executive Vice President, Resource Asset Management Solutions (RAMS)


Scott Dorsey is an Executive Vice President with Resource Asset Management Solutions (RAMS) a privately-owned firm and provider of reliability and engineering services for the utility industry. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industries of information technology, utility, and logistics. Scott’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the MD/DC Utilities Association. He is currently serving as a Board Member for Habitat Choptank, is a member of the Gifted and Talented Advisory Council for the MD State Dept. of Education, and an IEEE committee member responsible for the development and implementation of new industry National Electrical Safety Code standards. Scott and his wife Ruth have lived in Cambridge since 2012 and are active supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Chesapeake Bay and the Team Sanfilippo Foundation.

Philicia Drayton

In 2005, Philicia moved to Cambridge from Charleston, SC.  She graduated from St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, NC with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Social Work.  She has two adult children, Chase and Whitney, along with granddaughter, Chloe.  She worked as a Mental Health Case Manager for over twenty years. 

She started 5' 9 Bill Pay Services in May 2011 and added 5' 9 Title & Tags Services in July 2012.  She now has three locations, Cambridge, Easton and Federalsburg. 

Kevin Hill
Owner, Hill-Kimmel Contracting


Kevin Hill is 32 years old and originally from Cumberland, MD.  Kevin moved to the Eastern Shore upon graduating from Allegany High School in 2000.  He attended both Delaware Tech and Virginia Tech.  After working as an intern for Bunting Construction Corporation, a large general contractor and developer in Delaware, Kevin switched his college major and earned his degree in construction management.  Mr. Hill was hired full‐time by Bunting as a superintendent in 2005.

In 2010, Kevin moved to Cambridge after accepting a position with a residential and light commercial general contracting company as the senior estimator and project manager for the firm.  In 2011, Kevin negotiated a structured buy‐out of assets from his employer and became the president and sole owner of Hill – Kimmel Contracting.  Hill – Kimmel Contracting, located in downtown Cambridge, is a general contracting and construction management company dedicated to providing a complete solution for commercial, residential and industrial work, including new construction, renovations, and restorations.  Kevin has a particular passion for historic preservation, enjoys helping rejuvenate the community, and attempts to use local labor whenever possible. 

Kevin and his wife Jocelyn celebrated the birth of their first child, Bennett, in November 2014.  In addition to being active in the Chamber of Commerce, Kevin is a member of IRONClub Maryland, Preservation Maryland, the Maryland Historical Society, and the Maryland Genealogical Society. In 2013, Kevin was the named the Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Small Business Administration for the State of Maryland.

Lucie Hughes
Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Chesapeake College


Raised in Hebron, Lucie was most recently the Vice President for Advancement at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts before returning to the Shore in 2014 to head a new division at Chesapeake College . Prior to U. Arts, Hughes was Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations at Maryland Institute College of the Arts and held a similar position at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and was also a Vice President at Brakeley Briscoe, Inc. Consulting.

A graduate of Washington College, Hughes earned her master's degree in management from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She came to Chesapeake with more than 25 years of experience in leading fundraising, public relations, legislative outreach, marketing, budget planning, alumni development, special events management and strategic planning. She is also on the Board of Cambridge Main Street.

John E. James
Vice President, Koski Enterprises, Inc.


John E. James, Jr is a lifelong Dorchester county native. Known as “Eddie” by most, he joined Koski Enterprises, Inc. in 2001. Eddie serves as Vice-President of Koski Enterprises, Inc and Koski Trucking Inc., overseeing the day- to-day operations of the multifaceted warehousing and trucking company.  Eddie previously had worked with the Dorchester County Recreation and Parks.  Some of his accomplishments are past President of the Cambridge Jaycees and he served as a Fire Chief for the Lloyds Volunteer Fire Company.  Eddie and his wife Kim, also a lifelong Dorchester County resident, reside in Dorchester County. They have two children, John James III and Caitlin.

Denny Jones
Sales Consultant, Atlantic Tractor


Denny Jones is a lifelong Dorchester County resident, who graduated from Salisbury University in 2004 having majored in secondary education.  He and his wife, Ashley have two sons, Connor and Dawson.  Denny works at Atlantic Tractor, where he has been one of the top salespeople for the last 3 years.  He specializes in Agronomic technology.  His family is part owner of Atlantic Tractor, who serves the Mid-Atlantic region’s farming industry as well as residential, landscapers, nurseries, contractors and large property owners.

Adam Shellhamer
Sales and Business Development, B. Donald Kimball, Inc. IT Solutions


Adam grew up in Indiana, but is now entrenched in the Eastern Shore after he met his wife, a Hurlock native, while he was working in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Purdue University and has worked in project management, account management, and sales in the  Mid-Atlantic Region the past 11 years. His project management experience was in residential and commercial construction (PA, NJ, OK, MS), followed by sales management of two new housing communities in Kent/Sussex, Delaware. Adam has since settled in with BDK, Inc. a local IT Solutions company working with Eastern Shore businesses by providing managed IT services, computers, servers, cloud, and additional technology products & services. Adam does sales and account management for BDK, and prides himself on the long-term relationships they develop together with clients. He feels the same way about building and growing a rich relationship with the Dorchester and Eastern Shore community.

Adam and his wife, Allison, have two children. Their son, Nolan, is 2 years old and they have a baby girl, Reese, who was born in June of 2014. He is an avid sports fan, particularly of his alma mater, the Boilermakers. He also enjoys music, barbecue, and local food.

Sharon Spedden
Owner, Sharon Real Estate


Sharon is the Broker/Owner of a boutique real estate company dedicated to providing professional, caring service to its customers, clients, and colleagues in all aspects of the real estate industry.  Sharon Real Estate was opened in 2006 and prior to that Sharon was an Associate Broker with Long & Foster Real Estate and Century 21 Spedden & Associates.  A graduate from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, Sharon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Finance.  Ms Spedden has served as Past President of the Mid-Shore Board of Realtors and the Dorchester County Board of Realtors.  She has served on the City of Cambridge Economic Development Steering Committee and previously as a Director for the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce.  In addition to Sharon Real Estate, PC, she also owns and operates A Storage Bin, a mini-warehouse storage facility on Moose Lodge Road in Cambridge.  Sharon’s daughter, Sydney Johnson, has followed the family tradition as a real estate salesperson with Sharon Real Estate.
