Layton’s Chance Vineyard and Winery Chamber Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting and Business After Hours was held on May 21, 2010. Everyone in attendance, including some dignitaries: Delegates, Senator, Commissioners and Councilmembers had a lot of fun networking and fellowshipping. When you first walk in to this fine establishment you are greeted by a wonderful team of employees, decorations, gifts and wine tasting room. The food catered by Millie’s Road House was expertly prepared and the taste was pleasing to the palate. Wine tasting and tours were all part of this fantastic event. The tour guides were passionate about their accomplishments as they explained the process of planting the vines to the final process of bottling the wine which is reasonable priced.
We tip our hats to the Layton Family who are showing our county that if you dream it and put in the hard work you can later enjoy the FRUITS of your labor (literally). This is a wonderful addition to our County and we encourage everyone to go out and encourage and support the Layton Family as they move forward. Quoting one of the family members “We want our customers to have a Lazy Day on their visit”. · Directions to Layton’s Chance: · Take a right off of Route 50 to Salem Road · Take the first right – Ravenwood Road · Left on New Bridge Road · Signs are posted welcoming you to Layton’s Chance 4225 New Bridge Road Vienna, MD. 21869

AND THEN THERE WAS THE SNOW. LOTS OF SNOW. EVERYWHERE. FOR DAYS. A few open houses were cancelled or postponed because of it. Please check back here to see photos of Ribbon Cuttings, Open Houses and Grand Openings that were rescheduled for after the snowy winter season. In these photos below you can see that it took a BobCat to clear the side walk and we ran out of room to put the snow. Many activities had to be cancelled and school was closed for an entire week following this historic snowmaggedon. The Blizzard of 2010
