  • Advocacy - The Government Affairs Committee advocates on behalf of your legislative interests to help create an environment that contributes to your growth and success and economic development in our community. We work with local, state and federal governments to protect and promote your business interests.

    Referrals - The Chamber regularly receives requests for listings of businesses or for businesses that address a specific need. We only refer our members and we use multiple methods to respond including: on demand listings, our member directory online and in print, social media, and public inquiries.

    Advertising - Members have exclusive opportunities to promote their business through sponsorships, advertising and free publication of your news briefs in our Chamber Newsletter.

    Information - The Chamber’s weekly and monthly newsletters highlight Legislative, Chamber, and Member news to keep you up-to-date on valuable information for business and regional issues as well as Chamber and community activities. This information can also be found online at www.dorchesterchamber.org.

    Business Assistance - Our staff is available to consult with you regarding most business related issues and to provide you with information on various local, state and federal resources available to assist in resolving your issue.  We can also refer you to one or more of our members to provide you with comprehensive and up-to-date business resources and assistance. 

    Networking Events - We host multiple events including our Annual Meeting and Dinner, Cambridge Ice and Oyster Festival, Golf Tournament, and various mixers, ribbon cuttings and grand openings throughout the year.

  • Business and Member Resource Directory - A professional publication distributed to all members as well as residents, visitors and businesses.  This publication offers members great exposure for those seeking to learn more about the community.

    Electronic Listings - Gain internet exposure through a listing on the Chamber website.  Links to member websites and email addresses are automatic with an interactive map which is provided.  Banner and classified ad opportunities are available on the website.  Email blasts are available to promote member activities for a nominal fee.  Promotional opportunities are also available in the weekly e-news broadcast.

    Monthly Newsletter - Monthly publication mailed to all members with articles and event information. Flyers may be inserted in the Chamber Newsletter 4 times a year for free.

    Weekly E-News Emails - Listing calendar of events, links to Sponsors, and links to members in the news.

    Calendar of Events - Your events are listed on the Chamber calendar that is visited thousands of times each month by individuals looking for activities in the county. 

    Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - We handle all components of the event: Invitations, advertising, registration, name tags, ribbon, scissors and more. Includes coverage through:

    Business After Hours - Showcase your business and network with colleagues in a relaxed social setting.

    Business Lunch Presentations - Professional development lunches provide timely updates on business topics of general interest.

  • Member to member Discount Programs - As a member you get to take advantage of programs offered by other members or create your own program to work with other Chamber Members.

    Education - Seminars, brown bag luncheons, and informational sessions are some of the methods used by the Dorchester Chamber to update members on topics of interest.

    Electric Buying Cooperative - Through a cooperative agreement member businesses have realized a 12-15% reduction in their electric rates.  For commercial accounts members are able to lock in a lower rate for up to a three-year period.  Members are able to offer their employees and associates a similar savings on their residential accounts at no additional charge.

    Bulk Mailing - Members may mail under the Chamber’s bulk mailing permit with lower rates while saving the annual fee.

    Mailing Production - We can provide complete mailing services including printing envelopes, letters, folding, stuffing and delivery to post office.

    Conference Room - Members are able to use the Chamber’s Conference Center for meetings free of charge. We have the technology required to support hybrid meetings, classroom training, group facilitations and more.

    Workspace - Members are able to use cubes and offices for meetings and working. First come first serve and scheduling in advance required.

    Social Media – The Chamber is on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn and regularly makes posts highlighting our members and events.

    Faxing – Free to all members.

    Scholarships – $1,000 - $4,000 Scholarships for employees, children and grandchildren of Chamber Members.
