Michael Wheatley
My name is Michael Scott Wheatley. I was born and raised in Dorchester County. I am a full-time property manager and nonprofit professional. I enjoy volunteering and doing anything to better the community. Graduated with a Degree in Business and am a faithful member of New Birth Ministries Church. For over 10 years I have served Dorchester County in many ways and am always willing to lend a helping hand.

Reverend George Ames
Reverend Ames has been an active member of the community for decades. He had been a lifetime associate member of the Chamber, served as the 2004 President and served as the Immediate Past Chair. He has also worked in the local court systems serving as a Dorchester County Orphans court Judge for 30 years, Presently the Chief Judge for Dorchester Orphan’s Court, and served as past Dorchester District Court Commissioner. Mr. Ames is a strong believer in community service and volunteer work which is translated through his consistent involvement as a Dorchester County Public Schools Character Counts Coach and Dorchester County Library Board. He also earned his doctorial degree at the age of 72.

Gretchen Smith
I am the General Manager at the Comfort Inn and Suites. I have been in the Hospitality business for 28 years and moved to Cambridge, Maryland, 6 years ago. I have four kids. This year, the Maryland Hotel and Lodging Association awarded me general manager of the year. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, sewing, and traveling. When I moved to the area, I became an ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce. It has been a great opportunity to meet people and build relationships within the community.
