Create Your Own Native Bee House
Instructors: Kathy Burtman and Robin Herman
March 26; 5:30 – 8:00pm
$30, all inclusive
Creating a native bee house is a great way to increase pollinator habitat in your own garden. The house provides shelter and nesting areas for native bee populations. All supplies will be provided, including the pre-assembled bee house structure. You will be finishing and inserting the materials that create the holes for the bees. Kathy and Robin (both Master Gardeners) will begin the workshop with an introduction to native bees and plants in our area and the requirements for maintaining your bee house for the season. It is important to note that these houses are not intended for honey bees. A portion of this workshop fee will go to the Cambridge Community Garden.
Registration: Come into the shop to sign up for the workshops and we can answer any questions. If you can’t make it to the shop, you may call Beth at 240-498-5762 with your payment information.
