The 2020 sailing season has been delayed. Stay tuned for new dates.
Nathan remains tied up at her dock in Cambridge as the captains, crew and volunteers obey all current emergency health directives. We sincerely wish continued health to our volunteers and to the public who sail with us in happier times.
Once the current emergency health measures and pandemic subsides and we reach the new normal and it is safe for us to be together again, we will restart our season with up-rigging and shakedown cruises as well as crew refresher and new volunteer training. Once we are prepared, we will resume our public sail schedule and accept new charters at that time.
Until then, stay tuned for updates and come sail with us once we are all safe and healthy again. Time on the water is excellent therapy and a great relief for the stress we all feel during this current health crisis.
Experience a sail on the scenic Choptank River aboard the Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester, a traditional oystering vessel and an icon of the Chesapeake Bay. On most sails, you can watch the crew demonstrate dredging for oysters. Each sail is unique depending on wind, weather, captain and crew.
