• All That Glitters 2024: A Metal Smith Collective

Main Street Gallery is delighted to welcome back for the third year in a row, ALL THAT GLITTERS 2024: A METALSMITH COLLECTIVE.  A group of 6 guest jewelry and glass artists along with member artist Linda Starling comprise the collective and all live and create their work in regions around the Bay. On Friday, November 1, ALL THAT GLITTERS opens at the Gallery at 518 Poplar St. in Cambridge with a holiday show featuring a showcase of the artists’ creative and original jewelry and art glass as well as the artwork of the gallery’s eight member artists. The show will run through December 29.

It was early in 2022 that local artist, Linda Starling who is a member of Main Street Gallery and who specializes in beach glass and silver jewelry, envisioned a holiday show at MSG with a group of her Bay area jeweler friends. She invited them to be guests artists that year and ALL THAT GLITTERS was born! That first show was so successful that the group decided to try it again in 2023.  Now in 2024 five of the original group, Cindy Ayd, Alexa Matthai, Robin Morgan, Linda Starling and Barbara Trower are back for ALL THAT GLITTERS 2024 and they’re joined by two new artists, Wanda Jester and Charles McMillin. “I am very excited to welcome back my dear and talented jewelry buddies and two new artists to our group” says Linda. “We have all forged new friendships while honing our metalsmithing skills. Visitors to ALL THAT GLITTERS 2024 will be hard pressed not to find something they love or a great gift for someone special.”

There will be two artist receptions at the Gallery on Second Saturdays November 9 and December 14 from 5-8 pm and a brief artist talk at each one. The receptions are free and all are invited. Light refreshments will be served.
