• Blackwater NWR to Host Workshop about Lead-free Hunting Ammunition

Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is hosting a workshop and demonstration about lead-free hunting ammunition for hunters on Saturday, September 28, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with the North American Non-lead Partnership.

Share your experiences with hunting, conservation, and hunting ammunition and learn about what's happening on a landscape scale to address lead impacts on wildlife across the nation.  This workshop will include a classroom discussion as well as a range demonstration to compare different types of hunting ammunition.  We will also share information on a new opportunity for you to participate in an incentive program to help you consider voluntary use of lead free ammunition for hunting.

Lunch will be provided by the Friends of Blackwater

Space is limited so register by Monday, September 23rd at https://tinyurl.com/BlackwaterPublicAmmoWorkshop.
