Please join Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo, Representative Glenn Ivey (D-MD-04), and other officials to discuss how the Administration is working across the federal government and with state and local partners to streamline resources, expand access to capital, and provide technical assistance and training opportunities for small and underserved businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Maryland.
The briefing is the next phase in a series of state-level discussions that build on the progress made during Vice President Kamala Harris’ Economic Opportunity Tour, which took the Vice President around the country to highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration has worked to create economic opportunity by delivering historic investments that have supported communities and helped people thrive. This includes making unprecedented investments in small businesses resulting in the fastest growth of Black-owned small businesses in more than 30 years. Together, the President and Vice President have generated a record number of jobs, increased access to capital for underserved communities, invested in infrastructure, cut the price of insulin and expanded access to health care, forgiven more student loan debt than any administration in history and boosted investments in education, making housing more affordable, lowering child care costs, and increasing the wealth of American families.
