Josephine Koroma, certified nursing assistant (CNA) on patient care floor 3 West, has been selected as TidalHealth Peninsula Regional's July 2024 Sunshine Award recipient for her professionalism, kindness, and compassion.
She received two nominations from both a patient and registered nurse on the unit.
From her patient: Josephine’s passion and compassion resonates throughout the floor and not just for me, but for all patients equally. A true positive spirit that shows up every day for all to experience and enjoy. You can’t train someone to make you smile, she just does it. It makes your day better. It’s a gift from her to all of us under her care.

Koroma was honored in a ceremony before her coworkers and presented with fresh flowers, a pin and a certificate recognizing her exceptional devotion to team and patient care.
