TidalHealth, Somerset County and Wicomico County health departments are working together to better understand the health needs of people living in the Delmarva region. There will be a series of in-person and online meetings in January 2025 for residents to provide input on what matters most to them and how they believe the community could become a healthier place to live. Each meeting will last an hour or less.
Online Community Health Meetings
Anyone aged 18 years or older and lives in Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties in Maryland or Sussex County, Delaware are encouraged to register and join one of the online meetings. Attending one of these meetings is a chance for residents to influence how hospitals and other agencies address health and other issues of greatest importance to people in the Delmarva region.
There will be several opportunities to join an online community health meeting:
Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 12:00 p.m. for pregnant adults or mothers.
Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10:00 a.m. for adults with substance use disorder and/or family members and friends of adults with substance use disorder.
Thursday, Jan. 9 at 2:00 p.m. for adults living in Sussex County, DE.
Friday, Jan. 10 at 10:00 a.m. for adults living in Somerset County, MD.
Thursday, Jan. 16 at 12:00 p.m. for adults living in Worcester County, MD.
Friday, Jan 17 at 10:00 a.m. for adults living in Wicomico County, MD.

In-Person Community Health Meetings
There will also be three in-person community health meetings in the area. If you are a member of one of the following communities, please consider joining us on one of the following days and times at the location listed below:
Sunday, Jan. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at St Francis Church in Salisbury, MD – Members of the Hispanic/Latino community.
Tuesday, Jan 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Senior Center in Westover, MD – Seniors and Older Adults, 8928 Sign Post Rd, Suite 3.
Tuesday, Jan 14 at 1:00 p.m.at the Salisbury Fire Department in Salisbury, MD – Members of the Haitian community.

Input from online and in-person discussions will be combined with other community information to help hospitals and other organizations better understand community concerns relating to health, community needs, and ideas for improvement to make the Delmarva region a better place to live.
