30th Anniversary of Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester

The Dorchester Skipjack Committee, the organization that owns and maintains the Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester, will be celebrating on July 4th, thirty years of sailing on the Choptank River and the Chesapeake Bay, providing a unique sailing experience that includes dredging for oysters and sharing the stories of those who worked the water. The celebration, including an actual rechristening with champaign, will take place on Long Wharf in Cambridge and start at 10 a.m.. Tours of the skipjack and schooners attending the event will be available.
There will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the World War II memorial in Long Wharf Park by the Nathan Town Crier which will be given at 12:00 noon
